Our path to becoming a man includes building a sense of community. That is we integrate into society, and achieve some of the same attitudes and interests that are shared by our peers.
This is not to mean that we are not individuals, and have disparate ideas, but more that we see commonality with those in the community, and tend to gravitate to similar ideals. This may explain some of the cultural differences that are seen, where values and mores are different.
